Discover how to spend fun quality time with your young child while developing their memory and their senses without spending a lot of money or having hours of prep work to do.

From: Marie Coltrane

Dear Friend,

As a new parent you have probably been wondering how to play with your young child without breaking the bank.

As a brand new mother, I was over whelmed with the responsibility of caring for my son. Other than the basics, (feed, change dipper, giving a bath, etc.), I didn’t know what to do with him. None of my countless hours of babysitting as a teen had prepared me for the life changing event of my son’s birth. As a babysitter, I did the basics but unless the parent left me something to do with the children (usually the older ones) I just let them play with their toys quietly by themselves. I never was given things to do with the babies. I was at a loss of what to do with my baby and all the toys and games I saw for infants were too expensive.  We were a young family husband in school and working and me a stay at home mom. I needed a solution that didn’t cost me much money, and that gave me the tools I needed to stimulate his memory, while having fun, and something that did not take a lot of time to put together.

I couldn’t find what I needed any where.

I started hunting for information, I asked experienced mothers what they did, checking out books on child development from the library, and experimenting on my sun with different ideas I had. Each new age presented its own problems and solutions to come up with. Then it happened. I found out that I was pregnant with our second son and I soon realized that I didn’t want to jip either of my children out of the time and attention that they needed. I resolved myself to find quick and easy activities to do with my kids so that they would both feel loved and cared for and not jealous of the other.

Again I started gathering my information and experimenting on what would be the best solution.

Between the second and third child I went back to work. So after my third child was born, a girl, I needed to shorten the my activities that I did with them to 5 minutes.  Some nights I would get home a half an hour before bed time and I needed to spend time with each child.

As I am currently a mother of 6 I still use the activities that I have collected over the years to help my children grow and develop.

I am now “the experienced mom” I get some of the same questions asked of me that I asked for instance:

  • How do I get my baby to start babbling?
  • How do I interact and stimulate my unborn child?
  • How do I comfort my newborn?
  • What games and activities will my newborn enjoy doing?
  • How do I develop their memory?
  • How do I take my toddler / pre-schooler to the store and live to tale the tale?
  • How do I develop their senses?
  • How do I get them to take turns?

And many, many, more…

I decided that I needed to share the information I learned the hard way with as many parents  as possible. So I took all my notes and ideas and I put them into the book that I am offering:

Stimulating Your Child through the Early Years without Going Bankrupt

I have packaged this book together to give you all the tools you could possibly need.

Without all the work I went through

  • How to teach your baby the alphabet

  • How to make some simple musical instruments

  • How to teach your child to lace

  • How to explore gravity

  • How to explore evaporation

  • How to make a rainbow in a jar

  • How to make painted fireworks

And much, much, more…

With the information contained in my books you will become a better parent or care giver by teaching you how to develop your child’s memory in addition to supporting and stimulating their growth and development in other areas. But it won’t cost a lot of money to do or take a lot of preparation time. We all know that spending time with the children we are entrusted with is one of the most important gifts we can give. But in this day and age very few have all the money and all  the time to spend with our children.

My 15 years of research as well as trial and error is yours in this book!

There are 4 main sections of this book:

  • Age Appropriate Activities

  • Toys, Games, and Activities that Cost Almost Nothing

  • Rhyming Fun

  • Craft Recipes

In “Age Appropriate Activities” you will find many activities that are perfect for stimulating your baby from birth to 2 years old. They are arranged in 3 month sets so at each age your baby can have new and interesting activities.

In “Toys, Games, and Activities that Cost Almost Nothing” you will find a great number of games and other activities that you can use for one child or adapt for a party or other group activity. Along with the games and activities that you will find you will also find how to make simple toys for your child to play with.

In “Rhyming Fun” you will find many nursery rhymes. There are over 150 different rhymes to choose from!

These rhymes are quick and easy to learn and you can do them anywhere and at any time. They can be used at the doctors office,  in the car to calm a fussy child, and of course at home where you can introduce the rhyme and have lots of fun with it.

In “Craft Recipes” you will find many different recipes that you can make with or for your child. Any one of these recipes will provide hours of fun with only a little bit of prep time. They include:

  • Long Lasting Bubbles
  • Dye for Rice or Pasta
  • Colored Sand
  • Paper Mache
  • Glitter Glue
  • Stickers
  • “Goop”
  • Flubber
  • Chalk
  • Candy Clay
  • Body Paint
  • Soap Paint
  • Finger Paint
  • Invisible Ink
  • Bath Salts
  • Lip Gloss
  • Soap Crayons

And many, many, more…

As an added bonus...

You can also download "Images for Baby" Your newborn will love to look at these images and they will help your baby focus and support them in building their attention span.

Also in the book there is a list of “Developmentally Appropriate Activities.” This list starts at age 6 months and goes through age 8 and up. This list of activities will give you lots of ideas of things that your child will be interested in doing and when they should be able to do them. Even if your child is not yet at a certain age, it gives great birthday and other gift ideas.

Also in the book there is a list of “Materials to Keep in Your Art Box.” This is a list of over 100 items that you can keep in your art box so that when the creative urge hits your child they can pull it out and have hours of fun making different “art” creations. The items will stimulate the imagination for the both of you.

You could shortly be reading my book and learning for yourself how to play with your baby.

P.S. Some of my customers have asked if my book would help a special needs child and the answer is most defiantly YES! Although it may take some time and extra effort for the special needs child to master an activity most can do a lot of the activities included and it will give them a great sense of accomplishment to be able to do the activities.

Keep in mind the needs of the child and what there learning level is to determine what activity to try. Any of the physical activities please consult your doctor to see if that would be appropriate.
